Grand Prix Ball at the Hurlingham Club

The annual Grand Prix Ball kicked off last week at the prestigious Putney members Club, raising money for the Prince’s Trust. I went along to the red carpet reception, demonstration and dinner alongside stars of the supercar and formula one world.

In preparation for the ball, Sam Warrington Salon in Warwick Avenue gave me a sleek blow dry that complimented my beautiful Tessa Packard Flower Bomb earrings. Bespoke Your World dressed me in a stunning full length Caftanii Firenze dress paired with a Marie De La Roche bag.

As we arrived at the red carpet, we were immediately handed a glass of champagne and a chance to mingle with the great and the glamorous of the F1 world. After the reception we were treated to a demonstration and display of high performance vintage F1 cars driven by sporting legends, including Jack Brabham.

We were then seated for a lovely three course meal which included a prawn and salad starter, chicken and vegetables for main and delicious a caramel tart for dessert.

Award winning and straight from the Minervois region in France, Stone Gorge 1908 supplied the wine for the event. The entertainment that accompanied the dinner included performances by Heather Small from the M-People and Eddie Jordan. The prizes for the live auction which raised money for the Prince’s Trust were very VIP - a Superyacht package at the Monaco Grand Prix, a VIP LA experience and a round of golf with AP McCoy. Thousands of pounds were raised and to celebrate, DJ Seb Fontaine steered the dance floor for the remainder of the evening. Overall it was an honour to be part of a fantastic event that raised money for a good cause.
