London Fashion Week: Belstaff

London Fashion week comes around twice a year and is one of my favourite events in London. Filled with shows, presentations, future fashion and non-stop partying, it really is a memorably week.

Women's winter Belstaff Presentation took place at One Marylebone road this week. One of my favourite fashion presentations so far, the collection was inspired by venturous and pioneering women, taking on the theme of Polar Pioneer. Inspired by Jackie Edith Ronne, the first woman to set foot in Antarctica in 1947, the collection has taken on the idea of incorporating the Eskimo style with Belstaff's traditional heritage.

The polar theme was recognised within the outerwear in a variety of fabrics and textures. Staying true to their heritage, Belstaff's biker leather finishing was dominant throughout the show. This was seen in motocross leather trousers, fur-trimmed quilted coats and suede biker jackets. A neutral colour palette of grey, khaki, white and tan were used throughout.

Fur and leather details were even on this vintage motorbike featured in the presentation.

There were giant ice carvings resembling Antarctica around the presentation.

Liv Tyler also made an appearance at the Belstaff Presentation to preview her a/w 16 capsule collection for the brand.

In a creative advertisement for the collection, Liv Tyler features in 'Falling Up'  where she takes on the role of the aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart. Watch the film here
