Club Brunch Party with Moet

Two of my favourite things in life are brunch and champagne. These were combined at Avenue Restaurant last weekend for Moet’s Summer Brunch Party.

Avenue is a restaurant that I am extremely fond of, set it the heart of St James, the food, drink and atmosphere is always top notch (read my review here). As we arrived at the venue for the brunch party we were greeted by the Maître D, who escorted us to one of the best spots in the restaurant- towards the back with a view of the entire venue.

There was an amazing party-vibe atmosphere in the venue with Hedkandi’s DJ JayLi played a mixture of older and newer summer house tracks. To start off our brunch, we were given a bottle of ice cold Moet champagne. Other guests were very well dressed and had many bottles of Moet and cocktails at their tables.

For starters we had poached egg and smashed avocado. This was creamy, with a hint of chili with the perfectly poached runny egg.

There was a lot of choice on the menu, catering for those who fancied a something light to those who wanted something more substantial. I opted for the vegan Bean Burger- a great tasting patty made from mushroom and bean in a brioche bun.

As for dessert I previously had the brownie, so just had to have this again- it was delicious. I opted for an “off menu” option of coconut sorbet with this- which complimented the brownie perfectly.

After dessert the brunch the party continued; the music got louder, confetti was in the air and the staff were spraying champagne across the room. It truly was a fun filled brunch party.
