Linje Tio at The Den, 100 Wardour Street
Ranked amongst the top 50 bars in the world, Linje Tio, in Stockholm, Sweden, has become an ever-evolving powerhouse on the Scandinavian bar scene. Known for providing a lively, casual atmosphere whilst creating innovative cocktails (in Stockholm the ice in each cocktail is carved straight from an iceberg)! Sweden’s best mixologists have been flown over for the Linje Tio pop-up in London at 100 Wardour Street.
We attended the launch party held right in the heart of vibrant Soho, at The Den- an old-school drinking den, part of the legendary venue 100 Wardour Street. The Den had a laid-back, intimate vibe and even housed a Havana hideaway- a room in which you are able to choose from a large amount of hand-rolled Cuban cigars and smoke them.
We sat down, watched the bartenders mix up some of their very best concoctions, whilst picking at some of the delicious, gourmet canapes that the party had to offer. The drinks menu featured some of Linje Tio’s most popular and unique cocktails, these included:
Their Scandinavian take on the Pina Colada - Beets By Tjoget –made up of beetroot infused Absolut Vodka, coconut syrup, ginger, lemon, and nutmeg – this was my favourite- slightly sweet with a spicy kick.
Open Sesame, a combination of Blanton's Bourbon, Swedish punsch, Café Borghetti, espresso, and sesame syrup. One for those who favour the espresso martini but with a stronger taste.
Pink Rhino, a fresh mix of Tanqueray, rose pepper, lemon, grenadine, grapefruit soda and sumac.
So Fresh So Clean, a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail made using Seedlip Garden, coconut syrup, rosemary tincture, lemon & grapefruit.
Linje Tio really is a great pop up for anyone that would like to try something a little different in central London, loves a unique cocktail or two and enjoys a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
Linje Tio is open from 31st January - 10th February 2018 at The Den – daily from 5pm until late and 100 Wardour St Thursday – Saturday 6pm – 3am
